چکیده

Abstract In this work, vitreous material was produced, using ash from burning wood in a boiler, to obtain glass‐ceramic with the gehlenite phase. The glass obtained by melt‐quenching at 1450°C characterized differential scanning calorimetry and other techniques as well determine transition crystallization temperatures, kinetics were investigated Kissinger model. Tablets prepared powder treated 970, 990, 1074, and1120°C for 1 h, material. phase identified X‐ray diffraction gehlenite, two crystalline structures coexisting sample. According study, tetragonal structure had lower activation energy, therefore, it may have been first be formed Scanning electron microscopy images revealed regions within glassy matrix lamellar microstructure, no geometrically defined morphology morphological or microstructural distinction, suggesting that both phases coexist without apparent distinctions glass‐ceramic. best results water absorption, porosity, density sample sintered 990°C, whose values respectively 0.1, 0.29, 2.89 g/cm 3 . Ash Melting Temperature Prediction from Chemical Composition of Biomass Ash

Solid fuels, including biomass, consist of combustible, ash and water. Ash in fuel is result of reaction of minerals presented in the biomass. Minerals and other different substances which form ash got into biomass during growth. Ash is solid residue resulted from the perfect laboratory combustion of fuel. It is composed of minerals that are present in the fuel. Some species of biomass ash have...

Crystallization kinetics of glasses

Thermophysical bases of vitrification and crystallization are discussed in terms of the enthalpy versus temperature diagram and its derivative (DTA) illustrating relaxation and glass transformation as well as crystallization of glassy and amorphous states to form stable and metastable phases. Non-isothermal kinetics are thoroughly discussed and the use of one(JMAEK) and two(SB) parameter equati...

Crystallization Kinetics of Metallic Glasses

Metallic glasses are kinetically metastable materials. Metallic glass is defined as “A liquid, which has been cooled into a state of rigidity without crystallizing”. Properties of metallic glasses differ form non metallic glasses. Ordinary glasses are made up of silica while metallic glasses are made of alloy metals. Ordinary glasses are transparent whereas metallic glasses are opaque. In ordin...
